You know you are human when you know how to cry. We have emotions because this is our nature. We shed tears when we are happy, sad, and even while cutting onions. We cry when we are emotional like seeing long lost relatives, breakups with dear friend and losing of loved ones. Yes, tears come from common location in our eyes -- tear ducts.

Tear And Its Types

Psychic tears are caused by extreme emotions such as happiness and sadness. Another is the so-called Basal tears that maintains the moisture of the cornea serving as a lubricant and protectant of the eyes. Lastly, the Reflex tears that flows in the eyes when being aroused by onions or tear gas.

Their Differences

Tears in whatever form of extreme situation are seemed to be physically similar, but when looking each of them in molecular level, they are entirely different. Rose-Lynn Fisher, a photographer, wanted to know if there any variance of cry that stimulated with different feelings. When she dried the tears with different emotions and put it under microscope, she found a different figures of reflection from her microscope. Below are the different images of various feelings:
