
Studies conducted by the scientist from different respected institutions such as NASA, Pennsylvania State University and University of Georgia suggest that plant can really enrich the air quality in your home. Plants like Japanese royal ferns, purple waffle plants, spider plants, Boston ferns, purple waffle plants, English ivy, areca palms, golden pothos, aloe vera, snake plants and peace lilies are notably well capable of absorbing gases through the help photosynthesis in which plants convert carbon dioxide and light energy into chemical energy for nourishment.
Additional findings made by the scientists are that the air-distillation capabilities of homelike plants can consume nasty stuff such as cigarette smoke, benzene from pesticide, folmaldehyde which commonly added to detergent and cosmetics, ozone and other hazardous waste that linked to exacerbation of asthma, nausea, cancer and other respiratory related diseases.
Indoor plants clear away the house toxic wastes by absorbing them through their leaves and roots. Scientists also discovered that even the microorganisms that dwell in the soil help in neutralizing toxins.
