Love conquers all. It gives the feeling like floating in the air. You wish to stop the time just to mesmerize the moments with the person you loved the most. You promised everything to your partner that you are the perfect match. Until the balloon carrying you to heaven of love bursts and all of the sudden, things are over. Sad? Yes, very, very sad. You lost anything that drives you to do simple tasks. You find yourself that there is no more happy moments that coming throughout the day. You crave to eat or the opposite. You change your attitudes that does not define you before. Your grades are falling down or the worst, your wrist is looking for the feeling of touch a sharp blade until you are drained to blood loss.

This article tries to see the science behind why breakups suck and a piece of advice to conquer the emotions of being a heartbroken.

Rejections
We fear rejections and nobody doesn't like that. Love creates strong attachment to person we like. So strong that the bond linking to us makes us to preempt the feeling of rejection. That is why we become obsess just to preserve the love and avoid possibility of getting neglected.
According to a study conducted by University of Amsterdam, rejections disturb us physically too such as slowering heart rate and we try to hide real feelings by transcending to actions such as drinking alcohol, impulsive attitudes such as binge eating.

What You Can Do

Since we cannot control the feelings that might occur during breakups, however, we can manage our actions. Avoid hiding the actual problems like activating nightlife and drink until you drop. Instead, always say to yourself that this unnecessary feelings are really part of life but not the behaviors.

Love Is An Addictive Drug
Love develops an obsessive spirit within us because we used to live our life easier when we had the people we love, here is shoulder to cry on and comfort like no others can give. But life changes when the support we accustomed to is gone.

Move On

You might feel unhappy because of the absence of help from your beloved one. But always remember the other support groups such as your family, friends and workmates that are willing to help you although the weight of help of your former lover is not as much as your supporters can give, at least, later in time, you will learn that life must go on.
